Feist/Ben Gibbard
Feist (of 1,2,3,4 fame) And Ben Gibbard (Of Death Cab For Cutie fame) recently did a collabo at Radio City Music Hall. Ok, it was less of a collabo and more of a sitting-on-stools-on-persian-rugs jam session. Really, though—it's in preparation for the "Dark Was the Night Show."
The dudes from The National—who also organized the thing—got these people to play: Bon Iver, David Byrne, Dirty Projectors, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, The National (duh!), Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, and Dave Sitek (who ever that is).
If you're in NYC on May 3, 8:00 p.m, hit it up. The show's at Radio City Music Hall.

NEW The Sounds
Here's some new stuff from The Sounds. Haven't heard anything from 'em in awhile. SO, here you go. "Dorchester Hotel" seems to be the standout track here. It's more classic Sounds...er, sound. Anyway, both are pretty dope.

Little Boots
Here's a remix for ya. It's a little remix of Little Boots' "New In Town." The remix is a little dark and brooding, but is reminiscent of an emo Ace of Base. You think I'm joking? Get it.
By the way, Little Boots is hot. Just sayin'..
Get it here.

Passion Pit
If I was personifying a hipster that knew a lot about obscure hipster-ish music I'd Say "Here's a band you need to be into: Passion Pit." Then I'd jump on my singlespeed and ride off to buy a vegan brownie.
Really though, Passion Pit is a really good addition to any music colectsch. Their new album, "Chunk of Change," really really is a cut above. Check em out. Passion Pit's sound reminds me a little bit of a cross between Au Revoir Simone and Polyphonic Spree.

Diplo: Hold The Line
"Hold the Line" is all over the Internets. But if you haven't heard it, the 'Tek gots your back. If you're looking for a new banger for your workout OR to start your party, this one might be your proverbial "shit."
Oh yeah. did I mention this is a Diplo/Major Lazer/Santogold collabo? Well, now you know.

The Big Pink
Last time I posted something from Gang Gang Dance, I told you it sounded like a freestyle from CMY2K. This time they're remixing someone else's stuff. It still has that GGD frenetic sound, but their remix of The Big Pink's "Velvet" has a more mellow sound. Still spacey and stoned. But very cool.
For some reason, the end of this song reminds me of the symphonic ending to The Beatles; "Day in the life."

Telepathe
I read about this new band from Brooklyn called Telepathe. Much like many all-girl synth pop bands from Brooklyn, Telepathe's album "Dance Mother" is full of cool, blippy 808 beats, and plenty of soothing vocals. It sounds a lot like Au Revoir Simone—except not as cutesy. That being said, I really really like this album. I've had it on in my car for the past two days.
Sorry Folks. No more Album. Telepathe's label told me to take it down. I really recommend buying the album though.
Mexmore Toyselectah Mix
Sorry it's been awhile. I was skiing 12 feet of new snow in Utah. I had to pass this on from Mad Decent. It's a bunch of remixes of a bunch of songs. And most of them are pretty good. So if you like music that is good, but hate music that is not good—this LP might be for you.
If that description was too ambiguous for you, download the album anyway.
Download the whole dang LP HERE.
